Smile on Weekday Ride and Shoyu

Hello, Good People!!

We just did 平日ライド or “Weekday Ride” yesterday. It was really fun. And I have a chance to ride the CREO SL COMP CARBON, a super duper awesome bike. It’s light and smooth to ride it, at least for me, a person who less experience of cycling and don’t ride regularly. For me, I want to enjoy the ride without left behind of the group. With my current cycling ability and power, to match the speed with others is still difficult if I’m not supported by the machine. So I’m grateful to be able to ride until the end with the group.

In the middle day, we visit “Kinbue Shoyu School“. It was so interesting to see and learn the process of making the many types of Shoyu.

This is my first time I’ve seen the legacy of Japanese ingredient directly from the source.

Then we ate local udon, it was really good. The udon was delicious, smooth, light yet has chewy texture, and the meat so tender and tasty.

Along the way, there were incidents of flat tires that need to be repaired. It was really good lesson for all, to make us realize that we need to know how to do the puncture repair and prepare the emergency tools every time we ride. So before we’re planning to have a long ride, let’s check our bike regularly. Change the old tyre, the worn out of brake pads/shoes, and the stretched chain. Especially when the weather is getting colder. In winter, it will be more difficult to repair a bike on the road.

Then on the way back, I could see the top of Fuji-san so clearly. It was marvelous. I wished I took the picture of it, one moment in time. Let’s comeback for the next “Weekday Ride”, I want to experience another moments in time. See you, and have great weekend! ;D
