Why Use Cycling Shoes?

Hello, Good Riders!

Good bye October, welcome November!!!

Do I need cycling shoes? First question before you decided to use cycling shoes for your riding. If you only ride occasionally, maybe you better wear your running shoes. But if riding is a dominant part of your workout routine, cycling shoes are a valuable investment.

Cycling shoes have rigid and stiff soles. This provides more balanced placement of weight and power, reduces the cramping, leg and hip problems. It enables you to transfer more power to every pedal stroke. Like ski boots lock into a ski, one of the biggest benefits of cycling shoes is that they clip into the pedals on your bike. The cycling shoes that clip right into the pedals make your ride smoother and more efficient. That way, when spin the pedals, you never have to worry about your foot flying out from pedals. And because you clip into the pedals, you use more of your leg muscles when you ride. This allows greater muscle balance, moreover because your muscles are sharing the work, it less fatigue.

There are two main groups of cycling shoes, which are walkable and road. When making a decision, it’s important to consider whether the shoe and pedal combination offer you the right level of usability and comfort for the type of riding you’re doing. One of the biggest differences is how easy it is to walk in the shoes, this is a benefit if you like to get off the bike and walk around a town, a coffee shop, or any other site during your rides.

Then if you are riding long distances on the road, with little to no walking, road cycling shoes will be your perfect choice.

Enjoy The Ride & Keep Pedaling!!
