Light The Road

Good Day, Riders!!! 🙂

These days are rainy days…sky is clouder and darker with the pouring rain. Then for next days the weather will be getting hotter, maybe you think to ride when the temperature a little bit lower, in the early morning or at evening. So, you need a good quality of bicycle light for guiding you. Lighting is about two things: to see and be seen, but should not be so bright as to blind other people.

Choosing The Right Lights For Your Bike

  1. Brightness

A lumen is a unit for measuring how bright a light appears to our eyes. The higher the lumen value, the brighter the light.

Lumen Range For Different Environments:

Cities: 20-200 lumen

Rural areas: 200-800 lumen

Remote trails: 800+ lumen

A bike’s rear light from 5 to 100 lumen

2. Mounting

Many lights feature simple mounting systems that easily mount to the handlebars and seat posts. There will be no issues if you have a standard circular handlebar to attach to.

However there are some another shape handlebars beside the circular one. Choose the one that easy to install, also it with your handlebar.

3. Battery

Most modern lights are USB rechargeable, Some are powered by standard batteries. If the battery offer lighting modes, such as: high – low intensity, flashing or blinking. The lower the intensity that you set the light to, the longer the battery will last.

Don’t forget to keep your light charged if you use the rechargeable battery, or bring spare battery for the battery type. You don’t want break the law, or ride in dangerous situation.

If you don’t use your light for a while, put off from the bike, and store it. Recharge from time to time for USB type, or put out the battery for standard battery type.

4. Waterproof

There’s no reason to let a little pouring rain and darkness stop you from enjoying your riding. Be sure to have a good quality of light that will keep you and those around you safe.
